March 2013 Tournament Results - Keaton Beach Marina
We had several folks participate in the cook-out Friday night and 28 boats participate in the tournament last Saturday.
Michael Aman's team won the tournament with a 14.5# stinger
Huey, Stacy and Tanner Collins took 2nd place with 13.63#s
James Padgett and Douglass Tran took 3rd place with 13.48 #s
Trevor Moncrief and Bendran Carter had the big trout and flounder, 5.11#s and 1.96#s respectively.
Brian Showman and Matt Cramer had the big red at 7.09#s.
The Mike's Marine Ways Mystery Fish was not caught, so the $50 will roll over. The largest bluefish next month will be $100.
As we've come to expect over the years, lots of heavy fish and a great time when NFGFC visits Keaton in March.
The rest of the results are below. Points will be updated on the NFGFC.org website shortly. I apologize if I've misspelled any names. We have the original forms, and spellings will be corrected before finalized on NFGFC.

In the end we will conserve only what we love. We will love only what we understand. And we will understand only what we are taught.

This is what happens when you get your boat stuck and call the tournamnet director to say you're adding a "buddy" to your team and he will have side pot money and sign the entry form the morning of the tournament. Once you sign the form you're still "Buddy" on the spreadsheet.Jumptrout51 wrote:I like Buddy better.
I know Lucas, but he is "Buddy" to me going forward

With the results now official... has the mystery fish for April been disclosed inadvertently ?
"Good Judgement" comes from experience, ... and a lot of that..... results from "Bad Judgement".
Re: March 2013 Tournament Results - Keaton Beach Marina
not inadvertent. I don't see the need in keeping it secret. We should be able to catch a bluefish, and we'll keep it as the mystery fish until one is caught. I have a feeling that will be April, and I'm sure we won't make it through SJB without a blue being caught.
