Lanark 3/16
Did not drop the boat in the water early like I wanted as we were waiting on my daughter to drive down from Thomasville!!
Ahhhh the things we do for our kids!
Finally hit the ramp around 11:00 and headed out to the east end of Dog Island to drop the girls off to sun-bathe and den we made our way out to the fishing grounds. Winds were not bad when we started out but gradually got worse as the afternoon progressed.
Caught a few trout and they were all keepers and NO shorts!
Then this big girl showed up and made our day!
Fought her on my light trout rod and 10lb braid which made for a nice 10min fight!! Somehow got the big red in the net, got some pictures, and released her to fight another day! Decided we had had enough as the waves were-a white cappin good so we called it a day.
The boat ride back to the ramp was brutial but that another story on it's own!!
Fun day anyway you look at it!!

Dog Island reef?
Stacked up 1 to 2s were not fun all day, and by 4 PM it was blowing something nasty. Fortunately our ride back in was with the chop so it wasn't too bad.
