Wade fishing/beach fishing Cape San Blas
Heading down to Cape San Blas this next weekend camping with my dad. It will be the 4th year in a row, always same weekend. With taking the the little ones sometimes it hard to find time to fish much, but this year i really want to try and at least get a few hours in. Dont have enough time to take the boat down, so i have always wanted to try a little wade fishing in the bay. Would like to get into some of those big trout and reds that i know are down there. Has anyone ever done this down there or have any info, we will be at the state park and would like for it to be close. Not super big on beach fishing, but I know the pompano are supposed to be good there this time of year as well, any tips would be great. I will be taking the whole gang(wife,15yo/4yo/1yo) so i will only have a little time to get some fishing in. Thanks

I think it may still be a little cold for the pompano but if you drive up to the head of the bay you should be able to wade. We caught them a couple days ago in 3 feet of water, so that should be easily wadable.

Wade-able water out back of the campground has some good area that holds trout and reds...
