Fishing Hot Spots Maps ?

Post by Badbagger »

Just curious about the fishing hot spots maps ? Surely some of yall use the and if so, which versions ? Are they worth it or ? This will be our second season fishing out of St. Marks and we just picked up a Lowrance HDS 12 Touch with side scan. My Garmin will be my primary GPS and the Lowrance for sonar.

Yes, we used one. We purchased ours in 09 so we may need to update. It helped us a lot because we were learning everything. Ours had some good information on it but you still have to find the Hot Spots. At that time we payed something like $20.00 but well worth it for us. The gps numbers worked exactly for our hand held but doesn't for our new Garmin 740.

This reminds me of one day when I was fishing the flats between Auculla and Redfish Point.
A boat pulls up to me and asked "where are the famous grass flats".
I pointed him South and said run 12 miles, you will find them.
He took off South, haven't seen him since.
WHOSE FISH IS IT?

He might have found them out of Horseshoe. That area holds the best grass/spotty bottom flats I've seen.
