But it definitely wasn't one of your holes or one of your baits....

JT, Kevin was my partner. I never heard him giving out the scoop. He caught the fish on a topwater bait with 15 minutes left in our fishing time and we still had not caught a Redfish that was legal (one short and one over). When he stuck the Trout it wrapped on a crab trap bouy and with pure luck we were able to free it without it getting off. I netted the fish at boatside and the bait fell from her mouth while in the net. In the next 15 minutes he caught the 6.5 Red on the same bait only about 200 yards from where the Trout was caught. A great finish. He was truly "in the zone". An amazing fisherman and a great partner.

Man! What a way to finish the day!! I spoke to Kevin on the phone Thursday evening and he was complaining to me about not having ANY luck in the last several weeks with the Redfish or the Trout. He was not very confident about the tournament AT ALL. I said jokingly to him on the phone "all man don't worry, you will probably win the whole dang tournament" then got a text message with the picture of the 7+ pound trout late Saturday evening!! Largest trout in the history of the RedTrout Shootout if I'm not mistaking?

Way to go buddy!!
