I caught this from beach this past weekend. First time ever catching a Sheephead in the surf.

Nice! I sometimes see them cruising in the surf around dog island. No structure that you normally associate w sheepies. What did you catch her on?

I was not near any Jettie's or the Pier. Believe it or not I caught him with a sand flea. I was fishing for Pompano.

TOTALLY believe it, Lizbeth. Biggest one I ever caught was surf fishing on North Captiva using a sand flea! Not much to those fleas, but the sheepies LOVE 'em. :thumbup: :beer:
