I caught a pair of 25.5 redfish in windy conditions this weekend....didn't win a dime....Garman broke, no water temp
Re: Sure wish more members would post reports...
I sure wish I would go fishing so I could post a report.
Re: Sure wish more members would post reports...
I wish I got to fish more to post a report about. I've been once this year and put up a report. It's just been to windy most days I try to go. With the price of gas you take a chance to tow a boat about 100 miles one way and then get blown across the flats with an anchor dragging behind you.
It's about time for the wind to start to slow down though and I am still hoping to hear of cobia around St Marks and get my first one.

Haven't gotten "Marine's Dream" in the salt water a single time in 2013... pray that changes soon.

Went up to the plantation ponds over the weekend. Caught and released a ton, as usual, lost the two double digit bass to the logs. Big bass are smart. No pics.

My partner and I released over 60 good fish on Saturday. Caught 25 plus trout with only 3 being under 20'', released 25 or so reds from 17-25'' and over a dozen flounder. The fishing is HOT!

Caught 3 reds last wednesday out of a school of over 100. 1-27 1/4", and 2- 29". Water temp 72°, sun shining, wind 10 kt out of the SE, air temp 82° just before high tide on spoons.

Big schools of reds near the hill on the East Flats this weekend. If the wind lays down you can cast to the school. Otherwise it's blind casting in the chop. Caught a few trout IN the creeks. One nice one. I think the water temp was up to 74 in the early evening. Water stained. Not a lot of turtle grass on the idle out.

Headed down to Lanark this weekend with the GF. Almost Lowtide when we put in so I ran out to DI reef with mixed results. If you want a tug on your line, there are so many spanish and blues that it would keep anyone happy.
Caught very few trout plus and a nice pompano on a twitch bait, that was a first! Headed in and fished the inside of lanark reef and caught around 30-40 trout, most shorts!
Sunday was little better! 30 plus trout with only 4 keepers in the same area!

Had eight trout in the livewell over 20.
Weighed the biggest.

We went Friday at Keaton, 4/26/13, and was limited out by 2:30. All in the 17" to 19" range. Bite was steady but slow. Morning low tide seems new penny was the bait. High tide it changed to gulp white with chart tail. Fished 3' to 6' water. After we limited out, my wife caught three over 20". All over 20" released!
