I guess I'm a little slanted in my opinion, but when I was shopping for a new boat I didn't consider anything othar than a bay boat. I've been a bass fisherman for 30 years. Our boats have been built that way for years. I'm not surprised that bay boats are the most popular boats on market.
Chalk, some guy in PC has a 21 Maverick with a tower on it. I just wish they would make the console tall enough to drive it standing up. I'd be writing a check then.
I bought the same boat in the picture, 2200V, but blue, and with no casting platform. So far I would highly recomend it. Been close to the K tower in 3 to 4's (was slick when I left the hill or would not have gone that far), and have fished in a foot of water as well.
Seems like an all purpose boat. It is a 2001 with a 200 VMAX. Plenty of power, as well as economical. Got a fairly good deal. As I said before, I would highly recomend it.
Sorry for making you turn blue and scratch your head, Chalk.
The thing I dislike about flats boats is that the console is made for short people. I have to bend over too far to reach the wheel if I am standing up.
The part about actually buying a 50k-55k Maverick was a joke.
