Yep, she was at Key West the time I was aboard, 1960 - 1962. She had a habbit of taking deep dives on her own. She had done it before I went aboard, once with me aboard and then the final one caught up with her after my duty. The man on the control sticks, Taylor - a Texas boy, pulled her out the last one but she had warped her hull and was never any good after that dive.charlie tuna wrote:SS 342,
My first boat was a guppy -- SS 421 , I think the Chopper was out of Key West too.
