Lanark Suggestions Tommorow?

Post by Littoral »

Weather looks good but it’s August and I can’t really decide where to go & what to do. I do plan to head out of Lanark but not quite offshore –at least not to bottom fish. I could stay within 5-6 miles.
Any suggestions?

Yea, that's a good idea but I've never done it. Any suggestions?

Wevans, I do recall you're the expert on trolling for grouper out there. I do need to get geared up for that. As a kayak fisherman my open water chances are at the mercy of whoever I'm going with. As soon as I get kids out of daycare I will have a boat.
Should I expect kings within 5-6 miles?

I would not expect one, but be prepared for it :-D I did catch one last year trolling a stretch 30 in 30 to 40 foot of water. I try to keep my speed around 4 MPH on the GPS :-D

Just an FYI, there's lots of floating grass out there right now. Difficult to troll through that stuff.
What was I supposed to do today?
