Lighthouse 6-2
Got a call Saturday evening from my brother who ask if i wanted to do a half day trip to St.marks, so we launched at the lighthouse at 7:45 with both wives in tow. Headed east to one of his favorite spots. Started of chunking topwater and hard jerks. A few blow-ups on topwater with no avail, caught one bout 18 inches on the jerk. The bite was slow for the first hour and then we hit a spot that had a few fish on it. Huey's wife Stacy caught her biggest trout to date on a cork that went 25.5 inches, she was excited to say the least. We ended the day with a decent stringer of 8 keeper trout that went from 18 to 25.5 inches. Back on the trailer at 1:30. Also we did not see a single Red, don't know what that was all about. Good day on the water with the family.

Nice job on a short day. It was a lot rougher than I expected it to be out of the lighthouse this morning.

Nice report. Going to give it a go in the morning at the Lighthouse... may get tossed around a little but it's better than working!

What depth have you found to be the most consistent for trout? I have found around 5.5 to be the number, but still haven't got on any gators yet.

From what I have been hearing that sounds about the right area to be.mako-17-fishin wrote:What depth have you found to be the most consistent for trout? I have found around 5.5 to be the number, but still haven't got on any gators yet.
