June 9-Panacea

Post by LucWilliams »

After putting in about 80 hours of work this week for my internship and doing my part to help host the Capital City Invitational, it was time to fish once we wrapped that up today. Thankfully we had good weather and no softball was delayed, so when I got out of there at a reasonable hour today I ran home and hooked up the boat. Got the boat launched just before 4 and started running. Pulled up to spot number one and it looked good, just a little more chop on the water than what I hoped for.

Between two spots we managed 6 reds at 19, 20, 22, 24, 25, and 28 inches respectively. The 19 incher went back and so did the 28 incher. Had several other reds come nearly entirely out of the water but miss the plug. After finishing out our limit of reds, I got one 20 inch trout. 4 reds and 1 trout came home with us. Boat was on the trailer by 7

All fish on topwater. Putting pictures of the oversized red and what we brought home.

Probably back on the water Tuesday and then possibly Thursday. After putting in so many hours this week, I've got some time I can take off next week.
