Keaton Beach 6/9/13 report

Post by Hit-n-Miss »

:-D Fishingcpa invited me down today to fish. He was spending the weekend down with his family. I met him at the ramp and we headed out to cloudy skies and choppy conditions. We made our way north towards Spring Warrior looking for trout. The water was surprisingly clear for the conditions, and 82 degrees. The trout were very scattered and picky.https://imageshack.us/scaled/large/822/ ... 893738.jpg Live or cut bait only yielded sharks.https://imageshack.us/scaled/large/94/9 ... 118937.jpg Fishing was slow and we found most of our fish in 8-10 feet of water. But still had a pretty good day on the water.https://imageshack.us/scaled/large/401/ ... 133937.jpg Thanks again for the invite.

that's a good producer up there. we use jig head with gulp shrimp up there quite a bit (new penny) - very good on trout. will be up in a few weeks for some fishing (reds, trout, macks, cobe) and some scallopin'. how's the water clarity after the trop storm? looked like much less rain fell with andrea up there than with debby last year, which was 20+" up around tally.
