Nauti girls

Post by Bream Reaper »

I took my gf to fish the Nauti Girls tournament in the Hatch Saturday. The stiff 20 mph east wind made it tough on her. She fished hard all day and finally caught a 24" trout. I thought that would take the prize but, I was wrong. She finished 3rd out of over 100 girls. That is a tough tourney of all girls when a 24" trout is 3rd in a 20 mph wind in June.

20 mph from east, beats 20 mph from the SW!

I'm sure a friend of ours was fishing in it. Was the tournament just for trout? That gal and her 61 yr old husband have fished together for 30-40yrs, Marco Island to Gulf Stream to Steinhatchee. She can fish every bit as good as any man...... she might even whip some fellas ass! I'll do some checking and find out if she won anything.

It had an offshore category and inshore for reds and trout.Cassie Evans won the trout with a 4 pounder from what I read.
