Happy Independence Day! What are your plans for today?

Post by tallykenj »

I hope everyone takes time today to think about the independence we share and the sacrifices people have made to create and preserve it. salute3 Others around the world are looking for the same but haven't been able to pull it off. Of course, as has always been the case, we have some screwballs in the US trying get rid of it.

So, I see we are going to get a break in the rain. It might be for a few hours but I hope its longer. I'd like to get some burgers on the grill :lick: and head to St. Marks tonight to watch the fireworks from my boat. The City of St. Marks has a nice display every year. If fun to watch it from the river.

If it rains tonight, I'll be heading to the fishing club meeting unless it's cancelled. Sorry NFGFC, your second on the list tonight but at least you're not forgotten. :D

Working at the office right now... wrapping up scanning a contract.
Then heading home with the family.

With this coming I think time on the water is not in the cards!

Sitting at work for the tenth day in a row ( somewhere around 160 hours + on the clock) wishing I was off to celebrate with the family but unfortunately people still get sick and injured on holidays. With that said I am thankful for all who have served and sacrificed so much so I can be here and realize I have no right to complain. On a better note headed to lanark for the weekend in the morning hope there is a break in the weather would like to be able to put the boat in the water.
