Panacea Fishing not catching.

Post by robbankston »

We finally got the boat out. Caught 1 short trout 1 hardheaded cat and 1 huge sail cat. All on gulp under popping cork. Ochlocknee bay has bad current and plenty of rocks and shallow spots. I have a lot of learning to do. Still fun and the toon looks good sitting at my dock. :D

Yeah, water conditions in Panacea aren't very good right now  was over there on Monday and bounced around to all my spots with only a 7 lb topsail cat to show for it. Did see a baby gator swimming around the bay though which was an unfamiliar sight

I'm actually surprised we don't see any alligators here. But I haven't seen the first one.

You will probably have to make your way CAREFULLY over to around Piney Island or Oyster Bay to find fish that aint been run off by all the fresh pouring outta the river right now.

Wevans we actually ran over to Piney but didn't find any bites. Why do you say CAREFULLY?

LOTS of shallow sandbars between "O" bay and Piney, you will see them when the river gets back to normal and you are out there on a low tide :-D
