Made it out to beautiful seas/weather today, but a sssssllllooooowwww bite.
One of my podners managed three nice flatties though.
Another hauled up a hundo+ nurse.

Sooooo...
Standing at the stern, I look down to see a 40lb-class cobia with his nose right up to my transom.
I could have knelt down and touched him.
First bait got snagged by an under-sized trailer cobe.
Didn't bother bubba, he just hung there in the tide wash an inch behind the stern for about 5 minutes, almost long enough to name him.
Threw everything we had at him before he vanished.
As close-up and personal as it gets!

Love our paradise, where that's what we call a "slow day".
