Don and I decided to sneak out this morning and target Reds before the thunder boomers came a rolling across the bay around lunch time. We splashed the boat at 7:15 and were headed across the mirror like bay to an overcast morning. Fishing was slow for the first hour but picked up nicely by 8:45. We had a 2 man limit of Reds by 10:30. The reds hit everything in the box today including topwater, new penny gulp shrimp, and cut bait. We also got in on a few trout today including an absolute stud measuring 24.5" weighing 4.5 pounds. Our big Red and big Trout weighed a hair over 11 pounds, def a tourney stringer. About 1:00 the squall lines started rolling in so we decided to head to the ramp. Had the boat on the trailer by 130 and got a nice car/boat wash on the way back to tally. Was in the pool enjoying some cold by 3! Life is good.

And with a look at that sky it's time to call it a day
