WTB Used Fish Finder

Post by saltycrab »

WTB Fishfinder

Looking for a used fish finder, just the most basic functions, depth and sonar. Looking for as cheap as possible to hold us over until a nicer unit can be purchased.

Boat came with a Lowrance X48 model, but the screen is washed out, and you can’t see it. If an old Lowrance model is available that would connect to the current transducer that would be great.

Thanks guys! :)

I've got an old Eagle with transducer I'll let go for $20. Works fine but it's just black & white and the transducer cable will need to be spliced together ( I've spliced it before, it's not a problem) ..

Almost any Lowrance or Eagle unit will work with your transducer. The problem with the screen is that the sun has washed it out. I don't know why Lowrance does not offer covers for their units.
So Keep your electronics covered up when not using them or take them off the boat.

Most of the new larger charts and bottom machines from Lowrance comes with a cover, but the small sonar units do not and I personalty don't know of an aftermarket manufacture that make one for them.

It is so easy to remove them, not sure why it was left on to begin with.

Oh well, it is good to know that most Lowrance or Eagles should plug into what I have. Thanks!!

I have that same unit that I would part with for the same amount. Located in the north end of Tallahassee.
