Good place to stay in November

Post by pastorterry »

Can anyone help me with a place to stay for a fishing trip in November. The only place I know of is the Wildwood Resort. I will be fishing anywhere from Alligator bay back to St. Marks area. I have good places in the Lanark area but wanted to fish more to the east this time. It will just be my son and me so a regular room is ok. doesn't have to be anything fancy. Is there a 'fish camp or place that is better for fishermen?

Me and my son stay at shell island quite often. Certainly not the Waldorf but clean and reasonably priced. I believe the rooms are $55 and the park models are $65 or $70. Very nice people.

You can't beat the fish camp for value. It's not 5 star but they are friendly, clean, and inexpensive. Plus they will give you tips on where the fishing is. They have a marina and store/bait shop to. I've stayed there quite a few times and always had a good experience. I've also stayed here http://www.homeaway.com/vacation-rental/p101178. Deborah Word rents this one and several others in Shell Point. They are a little more expensive but very nice with your own private boat dock. If you don't care to be on the water the Best Western Wakulla is nice and clean with free breakfast everyday.

Thanks! Sounds like my kind of place. The 'boy' needs to experience the 'fish camp scene'! Thanks again!
