Left Tallahassee while it was raining about 1:40 in the afternoon. Had the whole family in tow. Put the TC II in at the lighthouse without any problems or embarrassments. There were only five trailers in the parking lot. The rain in Tallahassee kept allot of folks home. The sun was shining quite nicely at the LH and the water was slicker than glass. First we ran out to the bird rack and dropped the anchor near the channel. There were three or four boats grounded on the sandbar. We stayed a few minutes and noticed a huge storm moving in from the west. I know Erman must have got socked if he put in at mashes sands. Wifee worried when she saw lightning, and forced me to take everyone back to the landing. We waited 15 minutes at the dock while the kids collected some fiddler crabs for bait. The storm moved rapidly eastward and dropped its load well offshore. Lots of folks headed in and called it a day.
We headed back out toward the rack and turned east toward the rock garden. The water was absolutely glass slick and almost crystal clear. Set up a drift and put Travis in charge of the Pinfish, and set my daughter up with a fiddler under a red & white Styrofoam bobber. As usual, I put a pinfish under a CT off the back of the boat. With another pole I used a jig under a CT. At about 5:00 the bite was on. Travis caught several pinfish and stayed busy. Shelley hooked into two catfish and a 3' shovel head shark that made several long runs before giving up. Got the shark in the boat, and discovered the wifee didn't want him.. It was allot of fun getting him back in the water. Around 7: pm another big storm was moving across from Live oak Island so we called it a day and flew back to the ramp. It was a perfect family fishing afternoon, the only item I forgot to bring was the camera... Go figure....

Thanks for the concern; but, I chickened out. Watching all those thunderstorms bounce around my house made me nervous...or lazy. Got a lot of honeydo's out of the way to hopefully free up next weekend. Glad you got to go and have some fun
I went out three times this weekend, and took the honey & kids twice. My lawn is getting really deep and thick. I just can't seem to stay away from the water now that I have a legendary boat.
