Motel near St. Marks
We usually rent a room in the Best Western near Crawfirdville on 98 and spend the night before Take A Kid Fishing day.
Is there anything closer to St. Marks that would be just as nice?
Thanks

Just as nice, NOPE. But the cabins at Shell Island Fish Camp are supposed to be pretty decent

Wakulla Springs Lodge in the state park is within 15 minutes of the fort ramp. Rooms are very nice (some overlook the springs), it has a restaurant on site and there's plenty of room for boat trailer parking.

I stayed at the Shell Island Fish Camp. It was nice but not the Hilton. Boat ramp use come with the room but it's less than a mile to the fort ramp.
Re: Motel near St. Marks
Thank you everyone, I'll check these places out.

Re: Motel near St. Marks
All of these places show real promise but for the one night stay, Shell Island Fish Camp looked the most promising. We've booked a room there for Friday night October 25th. The lady answering the phone was very nice so we are looking forward to meeting new friends and having a good experience.
Thanks for all your suggestions.
Seems a Crab Festival is also going on? We need to find out more about this!
