deer lease

Post by SHOWBOAT »

I know I'm late, but if anybody knows of a deer lease still available please let me know. Primarily interested in archery season, mostly evenings and weekends. This is really just a fun way to spend time in the fall since our water is so messed up and to get back "in the grove" before my annual Ohio trips. Thanks in advance

Skeeter, that pic was shot on orchard pond plantation. I'll see if he(the new manager) has a pic without velvet.

I am a member in that club. If you are just interested in the bow hunting it may not be worth the money. You should get in for the whole year. Not many members and a lot of land to hunt.

I use to fish Orchard pond but that was on Phipps Plantation. My grandfather was the cattleman on phipps plantation for many years. I'm guessing that's a different place.

It's the same place. Jeff Phipps is leasing all of the hunting rights( orchard pond and ayavalla) to Collins Webb. He is offering a duck, dove and deer with possibly quail clubs. Duck and dove are sold out, but he has a few deer spots left. As far as price goes, I don't know the figure, but it won't be super cheap

SG,

Just saw this thread again and realized I had missed your prior PM. Thanks for the info. This is an attractive offer. Nice buck; good luck with him!

I will likely check this land out for next year.
