Fished the refuge today from 7:30 AM - 1:30 PM. Almost didn't go with the forecast winds and the cold front but went anyway. The wind combined with the early morning low tide left little water in the boat ramp canal. The wash bar was high and dry, as were the flats out in front of the light house:
Surprisingly, most of todays action was early - 4 big ladyfish and 2 spanish mackerel, 14" and 16":
I picked up 2 more ladyfish and a small jack at the high tide, but nothing else - no trout, redfish or flounder.
The wind was strong but the shore was in a bit of a lee so I was almost to cast without to much trouble.

A good day for exploring! An extra bonus was catching a few fish. Good report!
