You never know...11/20/13
Got up this morning with my family and we all got ready for work and school. After they left for school(she's a teacher), I put on a load of laundry. Something nagging in the back of my mind kept saying...."you should go sit before work". I thought well I'll sit till 7:30 then get down and head to work. I grabbed my sons .222 and headed to the stand. It was already past legal light. I got in the stand at around 6:45 and eased up into it. I sat down and looked down to the bottom and saw what looked like a deer. I eased the gun up and saw what looked like a doe feeding....then it raised it's head. HOLY COW! What a buck!. He was way outside the ears with a thick neck. Now I usually dont get buck fever but my heart felt like it was going to beat out my chest. This buck was on camera last year and we named him Lowrider.(wide rack but short tines) I wanted my son to get him but I knew we may not see him again(never saw last year except on the camera) and we needed the meat. He fed up the side of the plot and actually got a good bit closer. Which helped me calm down a bit. He finally turned and . .BOOM TSX dropped him on the spot. ...............Had to call a friend to help me load it. I'm glad he was around........

Now that is one good story! People go to all kind of extremes and you walk in, climb up and there he is. Makes a person wonder. It had to be your day!
Congratulations on a very nice deer. I can taste it now, yum-yum.

Thanks guys I never would have thought a deer that size would be out there feeding. People talk about grounds shrinkage.....the closer i got the bigger he got. Barnes Tsx are the bomb.
