Believe it or not, but after nearly 50 years of duck hunting, there are two things that go in my bag before the shells ... bug spray and toilet paper. If needed on a hunt , there really is no good substitute for either one!
And MD- truer words were never spoken.
But I prefer a thermacell and a micro fiber towel... great for cleaning glasses and then awesome in an "emergency"
If I'm ever rich its the only thing I'll ever use to wipe my behind

Went and watched the little filets fly around this morning. Looks like the big ducks are roosting in the pond. The widgeon and gadwall put on quite the concert before legal light.
Looks like we will still have a couple hundred teal and ringers to watch come in.
With the number if boats I've seen headed to Seminole it's gonna be a typical opener. Plus there is a bass tourney in town. About 75 bass boats will be out there buzzing around.
I hunted a public wma on opening day. I hate that and to make it ever worse, about 50 trucks skipped getting a permit and went early to a launch that is available without going through the check station and claimed the good spots before those of us who did the right thing could get into the pond. I hate that the game warden didn't come start towing trucks as he is supposed to do. Didn't get skunked, but it sure started my season on a sour note. Went hunting again on Monday morning and got a limit of woodies and again on Wednesday and got a limit with widget, gray duck and teal. I started to go this morning, but I have my family coming for Thanksgiving, so I opted out. Y'all have full straps and safe trips!
Great Opening weekend to Duck Season! Spent Friday night in the boat to wrap up our spot on Iamonia, Spent the next day at Apalachicola. Shot Woodducks, Ringnecks, Redheads, Gadwall, Pintail, Bluebill, Hoddies, Buffleheads and that very lost Old Squaw. Great fellowship and could not have had a better time.

These fellas were looking a little lost on Friday. Must have been lonely too, because they locked up from several hundred yards out and sailed right in.
