Perfect fishing weather Nov 27
Forecast for St Marks area at sunrise Wednesday is 49 degrees, mostly cloudy, with northwest winds of 17-20 knots. Recent heavy rain should make the creeks muddy and wading treacherous.
Perfect fishing forecast. Why?
I HAVE TOMORROW OFF! Remember: any day you can get away is a good day to fish. Happy Thangsgiving to all!

PS: "Thangsgiving" is how my friends in St Marks say it.

TRIP REPORT
Bad News: That north wind hawk was biting fierce. My hands were so numb I could barely cast. Netted a dozen baits and headed for a flounder spot on the Refuge dikes. Nothing doing. Gave up & biked back to my car, almost getting blown over on the way. Dark clouds and spitting rain mocked me all the way back.
Good News: Back at the car, I remembered that I had a mullet cast net in the trunk. Soldiered back out to where I got bait, and threw a Hail Mary cast into a mud hole. Five big fat mullet on the retrieve saved the day. Tomorrow, my wife cooks the bird, while I get to drink beer on the deck and monitor the mullet grilling (yes, large ones grill up fine).
LIFE IS AS GOOD AS YOU MAKE IT. HAPPY TURKEY DAY!

Way to persevere, Gary. You're definitely a "glass half-full" kind of guy. Maybe a tad crazy, too!
Happy Murkey Day!
