TC,
Love the boat and the trolling motor. You said that it's the only 24 volt hand control they make now that's not 3X...is it the 72lb thrust?? I've been looking and that's probably way more than I need on my boat. But, I want a 24 volt system.

RHTFISH, the trolling motor is that big. It isn't Photoshop.
Eerman, what I said was, All of the 24 volt and 36 volt trolling motors now have the 3X steering. Minn Kota no longer makes the motor without it. That's why the head is so large. The motor is 74 pound thrust. I had a 56 pound thrust motor on the TCII. It wasn't enough. This motor isn't too much. When you get around bars, or in creeks when the tide is moving, you'll need all the thrust you can get. I thought about getting the 101 pound thrust motor, but didn't want to go to 36 volts. All of the Riptides are that size. The only option is shaft length. Get all the thrust you can. You won't be sorry.
