Re: Interesting observation
This forum is read by a whole lot of folks with very different views than those who post regularly.
Most just lurk. Others leave and find forums with kindred spirits. Rarely do you find those willing to express there a opinion when its different than the few that dominate the postings.
My personal opinion was someone illegally netted them. Who and why is irrelevant.

Re: Interesting observation
My 2 cents: the fish showed sign of gill net markings, thus someone who uses gill nets in the state of Florida...which is illegal
. Most likely the individuals (commercial fisherman or local yahoos) went to load up and head to sell/eat their bounty. Something/someone spooked them at the ramp and they dropped all their fish where they stood in fear of being fined and jailed for being in possession of the illegally netted fish (9/10s of the law right?). Pretty simple to put 2 and 2 together right? Anyone that believes this is a set up is entitled to their opinion, but my $ is on a commercial guy or local yahoos who were in fear for a good reason......I hope they catch the individuals responsible for this ridiculous waste of our precious resource!

Re: Interesting observation
I did not see where the report mentioned any empty alcohol containers, which would be my first guess of the cause.
As for the rest, it is all pure speculation. Funny how these days our mind even goes to suspecting the government. A sign of our times and our President.

To fish, or not to fish, . . . those are the answers.

Re: Interesting observation
The FWC press release indicates there might be a reward for information, which leads me to believe something wrong was done.

Yer power of observation is underwhelming
