Lake Talquin Help

Post by kentuckman »

Coming down to St Marks this week to try the reds and trout. Also going to spend some time on Lake Talquin for some fresh water fishing. Never fished Lake Talquin but like trying new areas. How's the catch on this lake been this early in the year?
Bass, crappie, bluegill, strippers, cats......sounds like good selection of eaters.

I was out there yesterday (Sunday). The bass fishing is slow. But the specks are on the channels. There were lots of speck fishermen. I would suggest launching at Halls Landing. Fish the channel from a couple of miles east of halls to as far west as you want to go.
What was I supposed to do today?

Crappie are moving along channel edges towards creek mouths. Crappie will be hot longline trolling.
