Any Tallahassee Bass Anglers here?

Post by TallyFishing »

Do you need another fisherman in your boat? Are you fishing on Lake Jackson by yourself? Do you need someone to help you cover the cost of gas and buy ya' lunch? If so, I'm here to help! I'm hoping to find a fellow fisherman that has a decent sized bass boat and fishes on Lake Jackson (or another lake in town or on Lake Seminole in Southern Georgia) and would like some company in their boat. I'm a decent bass fisherman and can be quiet when needed (I won't talk your ear off) and have experience fishing on many lakes in town but I just don't have my own boat (the wife is not a fan). So if you would like some help to offset your fishing costs, let me know! I've tried a couple of bass clubs in town with no luck as I'm not looking to tournament fish, just enjoy the art of fishing! :D

I fish for bass (or anything else, really).

The good news is, I have a 17 foot boat, and I am looking for someone to go out with me. And I don't even need you to chip in for gas.

… the bad news is, that's because it's a canoe. :smt005

Probably not what you were looking for.

Did you consider getting a good yak, for what you would spend in gas and repairs in a year, you could own one. You will find kayakers on jackson nearly every day of the week. Its nice not having to depend on others. Just tell you wife you need the exercise. I tell mine I'm going to work out 3 times a week.

That is a good point. I went with canoe instead of kayak because I take my kid out. But, with a kayak, you can get to most of the same places you can in a jonboat. Plus, you can get into backwaters larger boats can't reach, and lakes that are hand launch only or have restrictions on motors. It's a lot cheaper, no registration or gas needed, and you get exercise as a bonus.

Not sure I'd fit too well in a kayak or canoe. Sorry...

You could try posting in the "Need a Crew? Need a Ride?" forum. I know, it seems to get so little traffic that it's pretty much not in use. But it is there for just this sort of request.

There is a kayak and /or canoe for you my friend.

That being said, its not the same as fishing from a dedicated bass boat. So I understand your request.

However, if Jackson is your target then a canoe/kayak is just as effective there as the glitter rockets are.

Talquin and Seminole on the other hand......
