I have been looking for some LED lights for a while and everything I find is ridiculously expensive. Today while at Bass Pro I saw a boat outfitted we Seelite so I came home and did some surfing and found they come from my backyard. Thought I'd share incase I'm not the only poor man needing to extend fishing hours.

Re: lights
Only problem I have is understanding the differences in pricing.
Why can I go on eBay and buy the same size and lumens light bar for $99 when these other companies want $250.
Some say quality, but I'm being told pretty much one company in China makes the bulbs, Cree.
Help me understand. I own a $99 light bar and it's worked flawless so far.

Re: lights
I agree...I run a 7" LED bar on the front of my duck boat that cost me $70 to my door. It's every bit as bright as the $250-$500 lights I've seen on friends' and other guys' boats. For the price I paid I was expecting it to be fairly cheap and flimsy compared to the more expensive brands, but it's built with quality components and VERY solid.

Re: lights
The technologies surrounding LED lighting is changing so fast, prices are all over the place. Even the residential retrofit LED fixture prices are crazy. I have noticed that manufacturer's stocks are not dependable because they are continually changing..
Re: lights
RCS, what model do you have and where did you get it from?
Its a wonderful day in the neighborhood!
Re: lights
I'll have to try and remember but it was either Amazon or Ebay. I used to only use a light every so often to get my bearings or while running narrow trails, but when the lake went low a few years ago I ended up perched on fallen cypress in the middle of the lake one morning on the way to a spot (it was almost invisible because of the angle and the lily pads), and that convinced me to get a mounted light.
