Freshwater Catfish from shore?

Post by ontiltttttt »

Would anybody be willing to share a productive spot from shore where freshwater catfish can be caught? I've tried Talquin and the landing at Lake Jackson (past the WalMart on Monroe) without any luck. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I know it is a little ways down the road but I see people catching catfish at the boat ramp at Econfina River any where from 6 to 8 in fish
One thing about the speed of light it gets here too early in the morning

Try Lake Miccosukee. Go to Reeves fish camp and walk to the bank on the left, nice place to fish for them and
other pan fish.

I went back and looked and last May we killed them in Talquin on the Gadsden county side.
We were running trot lines and bush hooks near High Bluff.

Just keep trying. Walk the bank and look for signs of others fishing. If you see a likely spot, stop and try it. Finding fish is part of the fun of fishing. I'd tell you but do not catfish anymore and the Withlachoochee River might be a little far for you to travel.
