Quick trip out of Panacea.

Post by bman »

Went down to run the boat through its paces and go through the tackle before a real fishing trip. Didn't fish long but had a good time

Water temp was between 60 and 62
Caught the first trout of the year. It was a baby but it was a fish!

The real shock of the day was a nice size Spanish. What in the heck are they doing here and 60° water?!?

Brought all my tackle home so I can bring it back clean and organized.
Found out that the ground wire on my marine radio had come loose need to bring tools back to fix it.

Other than that had good time and everything is working well!

I'm ready for the water to warm up five more degrees!!!

You got my blood pumping in anticipation of the flats explosion, bman.
To fish, or not to fish, . . . those are the answers.

Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn. ~Chuck Clark

Man has to be mighty comfortable in his manhood to post a report like that one... so guess the moniker "Bman" is deserved.

And just curious, what were you using for bait? Crickets??? :smt005

This is actually neat for Bman's boat!

He is an expert at trout that size (notice, no photo of the mysterious giant cold water mackerel!?!?!? Did the mackerel have whiskers? :D )

LOL.....
