Lanark 4/6/14

Post by Troutinator »

Well since Nathan and I got into the fish on Saturday, Mommie wanted to have a shot so we had to go again on Sunday.
Headed out to the same area, winds were up but the water was a bit clearer than Saturday. What a differnce in one day. Bite was off but Nathan came through with some pinfish for bait which I put out but kept coming in with half the pinfish left, big bites but nothing hooked. set him up with a mini mee Gulp and in brought his biggest trout yet at over 19"

and after getting mommie all set up with Nathan instruction, mommie got in on the action

Two great days on the water.

That's a Wright & McGill inshore slam rod. I have a 7'-9" in blue and it's a pretty good rod.

Awesome pic with the little man.... Nothing better than seeing kids enjoying fishing!

I have the Blue version. That rod is a Jigging Machine! I was catching trout with it while my buddy using the same bait was not.... :smt005

The true story behind that pink rod is that I had to buy two of the Blue Wright Magill rods while at Sports Authority a while back. I got there on a day when they had put all their rods on clearance in the middle of the isle at 75% off. the clerk brought back two of the blue rods and put them on this rack, one had the price tag and the longer one did not. I asked for a price check and when he came back he stated he would let me have both of them for the same clearance price of 75% off. when I visited the other store to see if they had any more the next day I found out that the rod clearance was a mistake and they were not supposed to put them on clearance. when she used one of mine last time she liked it so as for Christmas I got her one of her own so she would fish more with me.

Could not pass up that deal at all.
