This time of year fish near the launch area in the bass tracker. The bay can get real rough real quick. Around the bridges is usually good. Check with Fisherman's choice in East Point for info. It has been up and down with this weather. Hopefully that will change. When are you going?

Bunch of water to cover. It is about 6 miles from the bridge to cut. Be careful, you could get swamped on the way back. If you just want to catch fish, put in and go to about 4-6 feet of water and fish on bottom with shrimp. If you want trout or reds, go to the state park and go behind the island on the grass flats, but did I say it could get rough in the bay?

We are not trying to scare you to death but this time of year the weather is so fickle. If the bay has whitecaps don't waste your time. It will be too rough. A good place to put in and stay out of the wind and also close to shore is the state park ramp. Not the first ramp (which says group area) but the second ramp which has the oyster boat on display. You can stay in the East Slough and fish the bars (Low tide would help you see the layout) or go out around the point and fish the shore from there as far as you feel comfortable going. There are fish there at the right times but who knows with all this fresh water and fronts.
