Fished Keaton Beach Saturday with a friend a couple of young boys. Weather was less than ideal, but we managed to stay dry and fairly warm (those of us that dressed for it anyhow). We fished a mixture of shrimp (worked in the morning), pin fish (worked in the afternoon), and gold redfins (worked off and on) and picked up a dozen sea trout and five Spanish mackerel. We also picked up a smattering of other less desirable characters. All in all it was a pretty good day although I didn't find the numbers of trout we were looking for, it kept the boys busy. Water temps had dropped from 70s the prior week to 62 when we first got there (and it didn't climb much). We hung pretty close to the channel since it was misting / raining all around us for much of the morning. Water color there was stained, but not dirty. We had our best success in 5-6' of water.
