Well we arrived at the gates at st George IS just as they were opening--8am. WEnt to the eastend gulf side. fished till about 2.30. Saw 1 pompano caught,but not by us. we had one med sp.mack,1 so -so sheepshead,and we also caught a couple decent bar jacks,one catfish and 1 cownose ray. There was maybe 20 people fishing from the beach today,nobody was doing anygood as of the time we quit. was told that some pomps were being caught up untill the last deluge! Water was pretty brown looking w just alittle visibility.stiff east/SE breeze all day. Still it was nice to surfish for a change--kinda sandy though!

I was at the other end of the island on Wed. We did see some guys on the rocks catch a few pompano. Not a lot though.
