Water clarity around Lanark?

Fished out of Lanark Wednesday and the water was dark.... Very dark. Went to try to find some pilchards at DI, but the water was muddy looking and couldn't chum any up. Fished between the marine lab and Turkey Point Shoal and did ok. Lots and lots of lady fish and HUGE sailcats to wade through to get some trout. There were a few Spanish mixed as well. Hopefully with some good tides, and no rain, the wate will clear up.
