SAT/ EVENING

GOOD SAT . EVENING, JUST FINISHED PAINTING THE HOUSE AND BOY WAS IT HOT OUT ALL DAY, IT HIT 100 ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE HOUSE, GLAD I DID THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE HOUSE LAST WED. MY SON IN LAW CHRIS CAME OVER YESTERDAY EVENING AND FINISHED PAINTING THE EAST SIDE OF THE HOUSE, I AM GLAD HE DID THAT YESTERDAY BECAUSE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DO IT TODAY DUE TO THE 100 DEGREE TEMPS.. WE HAD TODAY. I DID THE LAST OF THE TRIM WORK EARLY THIS MORNING, CLEANED UP THE SPRAYER AND BRUSHES ABOUT AN HOUR AGO, TOOK A COLD SHOWER AND GOT IN A SHORT NAP, WHEN I GOT UP BABE HAD A GREAT SUPPER READY AND WE FINISHED OFF ALL OF THE COOKED FOOD IN THE HOUSE. MY DAUGHTER MARY, TOOK OFF YESTERDAY, CLOSED THE OFFICE, CAME OVER AND DID SOME OUTSIDE FURNITURE, SHE PAINTED THE METAL STUFF WITH THE FIRE ENGINE RED PAINT JUST LIKE THE PAINT I DID ON THE DOORS AND FRONT PORCH SWING, CHAIRS , AND ROCKING CHAIRS. HOPEFULL WE WILL NOT HAVE TO DO THIS AGAIN. AT OUR AGE, I THINK THE BEST THING FOR US TO DO WOULD BE SELL THIS BIG HOUSE, GET A NEW WINNEBEGO 36 FOOTER AND JUST TRAVEL AROUND TILL WE PASS ON.

Futchcairo>>> If you can accomplish all that, bet you can "fish daylight till 11AM"!! Just getting all that stuff ready, then cleaned up, and put back up.... is a heck of a lot work in 90+ temps. We had some storm damage and I survived running a chain saw, then dragging logs, limbs, and branches yesterday............and again today. Then repaired my 10' driveway gate. I'm with you, it's been H O T.

I have not wet a line in almost seven weeks. I'll meet ya along I-10 and I'll drive us down to the coast and we can at least "Think about it" I do hate all this heat, but if I don't get some salt air soon......... my wife is gonna shoot me! As far as a big house, no thanks. With no kids, grand kids, and just us........ there's simply no need. A Motor Home sounds fine, but we've got some cats and an excellent yard dog. That messes up our "life on the road". Also, I hate those tiny bathrooms and love a big recliner!!
