Pinfish at St. Marks???

Post by Bullet »

Has anyone been having any margin of success catching pins around St. Marks area lately?

Around the river entrance to the bay, lighthouse, nearby flats?

Haven't been down since mid-May and there was neither grass nor pins around there.

Fished out of the yak wednesday 5-7 on a outgoing tide. The wind was brutal.

Wasn't pretty.

Get 2 small blacktips and a sailcat.

Ive been able to pick up plenty. I go out about past the second channel marker right in front of the lighthouse. I seem to have the best luck in 5-6' waters with grassy bottoms. Sabiki rig tipped with squid seems to be the ticket.
