On one side sharks can be terrifying on the other side not one person has been attacked in wakulla or jefferson counties. Every time I go out seems to be plenty of people swimming and I always see sharks.

I'd like to see the statistics for different activities and shark attack.

In wakulla and jefferson counties it would be a 0% chance(so far).

I've had a couple hammerheads over 8' come closeby on the flats in biscayne bay. Once they see me in the boat they take off pretty fast.

This video is from the Exact spot I would usually fish there.

Wow! If that pathfinder is 20-22', I have no problem with 12'. That fish is looking for tarpon, not scallopers. :D

My daughter-in-law ask one time. What is he (shark) doing here? Looking for something to eat, I said.

I am calling bull, (not bull shark)

Look at the size of the grass in the foreground. NO way that is grass in 12 ft of water. way too big. Picture looks like maybe a 3 to 4 footer in about 3 feet of water.

Also, their is something really weird going on the the sharks fin. I am calling photoshop!

I think the 12' was referring to the shark, not the water depth. Hammerheads have huge dorsal fins, looked a little funny to me, but not willing to call anyone a liar about it. We see plenty of sharks that big, I don't have any problem believing there are plenty of 12' hammerheads swimming around. You have to be pretty big to eat tarpon

I don't know if it is real or not... but the original poster lives in Steinhatchee per their FB page, I saw it when one of my FB friends who scallops down there a lot commented on it and knew the location/original poster. If it is Photo Shopped somebody did a really nice job considering all the reflections in the water that are impacted by the fin wake and then having the female in the boat apparently using a cell phone to video something in the water etc.

Fun conversation photo either way... if you get in the water around Grassy maybe watch your back and don't look like a Tarpon! :-D

As for probability of getting bit, all I know is I wouldn't want to be the first to claim that title...
