This months Florida Sportsman (page 86) shows an over slot red fish being held up for a photo by the lips...
I think its an embarrassment for a magazine that supports catch and release.
Most of that fish's weight was being carried by the head. Makes for a good photo but irresponsible way to hold a fish your have to release.How NOT to hold a big fish...

Not the best , but we have all seen worse. They are supporting her belly ( and internal organs). At least they aren't hanging her vertically by the bottom jaw like we see all the time, FS did stop posting pics of over slot vertical reds and snook a while ago

He is at least supporting the belly with his left hand if you look closely, probably not the best technique but he appears distracted for some reason

What I despise is the fishing shows that promote catch and release, and then hold the fish for several minutes promoting some product, or giving highlights of the show, or giving props to Capt. So and So.
