great price on repaired props

Post by ertauber »

Was having problems with vibration from my prop on my Merc 40 (20 yrs old). Stopped at Porter Marine in Woodville and Maveil says he would repair the aluminum prop for $20.00. I gave him my prop and the spare. Two days later all beautifully repaired and painted and no vibration. He did say that some props are so badly mangled that he can't fix and I did not ask him about stainless props since I don't have any.

He does stainless props as well. My prop was in bad shape, all 3 blades were severely mangled. He fixed the propeller and broken skeg at a very fair price! I highly recommend Porter marine. They do great work on the rest of the motor too.

if ol' Pompano (bigphishy) is good with it, I'll post the picture of the incident he speaks of :-D

But seriously - it looked and ran like brand new. Incredible work done over there.
