Post by Redbelly »

Anybody run this in your 2 stroke?
My motor wanted to cut off and not idle, thought maybe run some of this through it.

I just started using it in my 2 strokes after reading so many good comments about how it worked. One of my engines doesn't idle well, either. I adjusted the carbs and ran fresh gas with seafoam thru it, so we'll see. Good luck with yours.

I have used it for years. When I let my set and the carbs get gunked, I have gotten my fuel line where when the motor is running, I could pull the line and stick into a bottle of seafoam to let the engine run on straight seafoam for a few minutes. Most of the time the full strength sea foam has done the trick.
Its a wonderful day in the neighborhood!

I run it in my lawn mowers, motorcycle, and vehicles.

Seafoam works for me. I've mixed 3/4 gal gas & can of foam and run thru engine using spare gas line. Cleans out the junk. This is on a 4 stroke. I suspect you could do the same with 2 stroke, making sure that 3/4 gal has oil mix.

Yes - you can search my posts on here and find a rather lengthy discussion about Sea Foam. I have always had great luck with it.

One other thing - I recently had the same problem with my motor. Waivel Porter down at Porter Marine in Woodville figured out that it was my fuel line between the tank and motor going bad. Small pieces of it were clogging the carbs. Motor is a 2002 Mercury 60 hp 2 stroke.
