YEA SPINNER, THIS GETTIN OLDER IS NO PICNIC, JUST WISH I DIDN'T HAVE TO GO SEE SO MANY DOC'S AND NONE OF THEM AGREE WITH WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME, THE MAIN PROBLEM I HAVE IS D-O-B, DATE OF BIRTH BUT THE DOC'S DO NOT SEEM TO UNDERSTAND THAT. WHEN YA GET TO MY AGE AND BEEN THROUGH ALL THAT I HAVE BEEN THRU BACK WW 11 AND MY WHOLE LIFE OF WORKING ABOUT 18-20 HOURS EVERY DAY JUST WEARS YA OUT. I THINK I HAVE CONVINCED MY LOCAL DOC THAT ALL I NEED IS A PAIN PILL EVERY MORNIN AND THEN I CAN MAKE IT THROUGH THE DAY WITHOUT HURTIN SO MUCH, TAKE THOSE OTHER 5 PILLS AND THROW THEM IN THE GARBAGE AND LET ME DO WHAT COMES NATUALLY.
Y'ALL HAVE A NICE DAY, KEEP SAFE SO YA CAN GROW OLD AND HURT LIKE ME. HA HA HA

PA, my folks were down from the Carolinas for Thanksgiving with us and 2 things they said have stuck with me.

"Getting old sure ain't for sissies!" shared with me by my dear Mammy, and "Getting old is chicken poop!" shared with me by my Dad, a WWII Marine like you.

Heck, I'm just a bit over half their age, and I'm already starting to feel it / appreciate the truth in those statements. Know it beats the alternative though.

YEA BIG BEND GYRENE, ONE OF MY DOC'S IS A EX MARINE, I FINALLY MANAGED TO GET HIM TO GIVE ME THE STRAIGHT DOPE ON WHAT IS GOING ON. HE SAID THAT THE OPERATION I HAD USUALLY WOULD TAKE ABOUT 3 MONTHS TO OVERCOME AND GET BACK TO NORMAL. LOOKING AT MY AGE AND NO MORE DAMAGE THAN I HAD HE SAID THAT IF I TOOK IT EASY THAT I MIGHT BE ABLE TO WALK UNASSISTED IN A YEARS TIME, UNTILL THEM JUST DO NOT OVERDO ANYTHING, IF I DO HE SAID I WOOULD BE BACK TO STAGE ONE AGAIN. I GUESS I WILL HAVE TO WAIT A LITTLE LONGER TO CHECK OUT MY NEW BOAT.
