Help!

Post by cfr2 »

I was planning on duck hunting this morning at lake iamonia. Somewhere between Havana and the lake, the strap holding my kayak in the truck failed. The kayak is a native ultimate 14.5 that is olive and camo spray painted. Lost somewhere along hwy 12 to iron bridge, orchard pond to meridian, hwy 12 to iamonia landing.

THAT IS SAD TO HEAR, HOW IN THE WORLD COULD YOU NOT HEAR THE YAK FLYING OFF THE ROOF. I DOUBT YOU WILL EVER SEE IT AGAIN, PROBABLY ALREADY PAINTED A BRIGHT RED. SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS

That stinks! I bet it was on Orchard pond; it could slide out on the dirt and you would not hear it.

I, too, suspect that it happened on Orchard Pond. I drove the route I took twice looking for it. Got a feeling I will be purchasing a new kayak.

Got it back! I came off when I turned off of orchard pond on to meridian. Right after that happened, a young man also going duck hunting saw it. He stopped, picked up the kayak and my decoys and threw it on top of his boat . I put an ad on Craigslist and when he got home he was in the process of posting it as found on Craigslist when he saw my ad. Good to know that there are still good, honest people!
On another happy note, I have been meaning to join this forum and finally did it to find my boat.
