OCHLOKONEE STATE PARK

Post by CAPTAIN CHARLIE »

Has anyone had any luck fishing for reds near the OCHLOCKONEE river state park? What about any other kinds of fish? My son recently bought s home there and I plan to fish there real soon. I have never fished that part of the river. Thanks for any tips.

the answer is yes. I use live shrimp, on the bottom near creek mouths. Look for holes on your bottom machine

Bass can be caught year round up there. Reds and trout will move up when it is cold. If there has been a lot of rain, it really seems to affect the saltwater species bite. Good luck
