Weekend Water Temps?

Post by fishinfool »

I finally realized I am in desperate need of some saltwater therapy. If I had a psychiatrist he/she would probably insist on it.
I am wanting to try East of the Lighthouse in the morning. Does anyone have any water temps to report from the past two days?

Went out of the fort and river temps to the lighthouse were still at 61.9 on Sunday.

Fished way to the east Sunday in the yak, so I didn't get a temperature reading. But the water was much warmer to the touch than it had been the previous Monday. FSU Marine Lab had a reading of 66 Saturday afternoon. With the warm temps predicted this week and the moderate overnight lows, it getting ready to bust wide open.

The water temp was 55° at daybreak and 61° when I got off the water at 13:30. It was a nice day and I managed 3 slot Trout and a 12" Flounder. As silverking stated, It is getting ready to bust wide open.
