Bobs jabkplate

Post by hambric85 »

Guys I need a little help please. Last time I went out, the switch for the plate shorted out. I installed a new switch, but now it only makes a clicking sound, and doesn't move.... Help I was planning on going to either shell island or Keaton next sat, so I got to get her running!!!!!

Sounds like your solenoid is bad, that is the clicking noise you are hearing.

Try cleaning the post connectors and terminals on the solenoids before replacing them. Few strokes with a wire brush or emory cloth is likely all it needs.

Thanks. I'll give it a try, then replace them if the cleaning doesn't work.
